           Saturday Feb 29 2020

Tix link and more details to come

The amphitheatre is a beautiful bushland and river setting, set in Fairfield Park right on the Yarra River. Bring a cushion to sit on and your food and drinks!

Saturday Feb 29th   Fairfield Park Drive, Fairfield, Melbourne

"Doors" open  5.30 p.m. Tickets are $30 each or a donation of $30 or more.
Featuring :

The Newlands Choir  ( fabulous innovative choir - Ernest will do a special song with them)
Indiana   (a lovely singer-songwriter)

Ernest Aines   (folky originals)

Sam Lawrence Band  (great vocals and bluesy jazzy rocking groove)

These musicians, their volunteer team and  Yarra City Council are coming together for a bushfire benefit with over 90% of all proceeds being donated to help wildlife in Gippsland to be fed and cared for by the wonderful volunteers of the Raymond Island Koala and Wildlife Shelter . The animals are in dire straights and, having survived the fires, they are now in peril of dying of starvation and lack of water. The funds raised by this gig will assist the volunteers to buy basic feed vegetables and cover other costs to continue to set up feeding stations (they get no government funding).

Our hearts are with the people affected by the fires and to all those who have worked tirelessly to assist.  With over 10 million hectares of land burnt since the beginning of the fire season, support is desperately needed by all those who have already lost so much and who continue to fight to save homes and livelihoods, our beautiful animals and lives.
Accessibility : platforms where wheelchairs can be stationed. An accessible toilet is also on-site.
If the weather is adverse we will contact you with a new date - so please leave your contact details when you book. Updates will also be on the Facebook event page. The venue can seat up to 350 people - so get in for your tickets! BYO food, drink and cushions.
