Ernest Aines - Liverpool

Ernest Aines is an Australian Folk Artist of the Year 2023 Nominee and  an award-winning alt-folk/Americana Australian singer-songwriter from  Melbourne. Ernest’s soulful voice showcases songs  with lyrical expressionism that draws comparisons to the work of Ray  LaMontagne, Bon Iver, Jeff Buckley, and Nick Drake on more recent  releases.   Australia’s rising folk star has captured global attention, including an  invitation to perform at the prestigious Cambridge Folk Festival, UK in  July 2024. He showcased his talent at Folk Alliance International –  Kansas City, Missouri, USA – in February 2023, where he impressed  audiences and received praise from American folk legend Tom Paxton. This  journey was supported by Sounds Australia, who recognised his  exceptional talent.   Ernest continues to enjoy critical success that has seen him tour  Ireland and the UK, invited to play at the iconic Matt Molloy’s in  Westport Ireland, play sell-out shows in the UK, and play festivals  there this summer, with more to be announced.   His debut album, “Spiral Bound”, released at the end of 2023, quickly  earned accolades from critics for its “exceptional lyricism”,  “instrumental genius” and “boundless creativity”. Australian Roots  bible, Rhythms Magazine, described it as “a remarkable debut album” with  a quality that is “universal, borderless and timeless”.
